What: Native Plant Day, promoted by the Native Plant Society of New Mexico.
When: All day Saturday, August 15th
Where: Agua Fría Nursery, Payne's Nurseries, Santa Fe Greenhouses, and Plants of the Southwest

Fall is the perfect time to plant indigenous perennials, trees and shrubs in the Southwest. Saturday is the day to learn more about New Mexico's native plants or just get a great deal on them. Michael Clark will give a presentation on creating a xeric garden using native plants is at 11 a.m. at Tropic of Capricorn and Bob Pennington of Agua Fría Nursery will broadcast his native plant expertise from 8-9 a.m. on KTRC 1200 AM. Agua Fría Nursery, Payne's Nurseries, Santa Fe Greenhouses, and Plants of the Southwest all will have specials on native plants to celebrate the day.
